Not only did we sponsor last night's "Putting Social Media to Work" panel presentation which was orchestrated by Sacramento's Social Media Club (
www.socialmediaclub.pbworks.com/Sacramento), but we also attended the event. The panel consisted of 4 Sacramento area business people who answered questions from the attendees. The panel presented views from an interesting mix of personal experience using social media as described by
Natalie Paulsen of 3Fold Communications to a more business centric view of using social media as described by
Christina Rogers of Angeles Career Consulting. The room at the Urban Hive (a lively mid-town business loft) was practically filled to capcity showing just how much social media has become an intrinsic part of not only our daily lives but most especially our work lives. As a coaching firm, we are becoming more and more interested in how social media can be used not only in coaching our business clients and personal development clients, as much so in the work that we do with our clients in our powerful "Get the Edge-Get the Job" coaching program. Social media definitely looks to be here to stay.
Scott Eggert, of
MarketSmall and Director of Partnerships with the
Sacramento Social Media club, is a powerful advocate for the use of social media and has worked with us on integrating more social media into our firm. I am sure he would agree with what we have come to believe: you can either embrace social media and learn to use it to your advantage, or you will possibly get left behind. At CTP, we're learning to embrace it!

Your stated goal of better integrating social media into your personal and business development strategies for your firm and for your customers is a great inspiration. I hope that you will share about your journey and that you will also continue to partner with the Social Media Club as you learn to put your experiences to work!
